Our keynote speaker will be Andrew Bent, Ph.D. in Plant Pathology. He will enlighten us on the GMO use mitigating pathogens in citrus, bananas, coffee and wheat.

He will expound on the exciting research he is conducting on reducing pathogens, such as bacterial wilt, on various crops that have been threatened by disease.

He is an expert on plant diseases caused by bacteria, tropical plant diseases, genetic engineering for plant disease control. He is a professor at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
