It's MAMGA's 40th Anniversary!

SAVE THE DATE - SEPTEMBER 27, 2026

In 1986, a dedicated group of certified Master Gardeners came together with a shared vision—to strengthen the gardening community, give back through horticultural service projects, and encourage lifelong learning. On February 18 of that year, the Madison Area Master Gardeners Association (MAMGA) was founded.

Next year, we’ll celebrate our 40th Anniversary—a remarkable milestone made possible by the passion and commitment of members like you.

Date: Sunday, September 27th, 2026
Time:
 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Cost:
 $20 per person
Location:
 Olbrich Botanical Gardens, Evjue Commons

This event is all about reconnecting and reminiscing—sharing memories, laughter, and good conversation with longtime friends. There will be plenty of time to mingle and enjoy each other’s company. Fun fact: the very first Master Gardener courses were held at Olbrich Botanical Gardens!

Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, lunch, cake, and beverages. Come early or linger afterward to take in the beauty of the surrounding gardens—and don’t forget to bring a friend!

Please let us know if you’d be interested in attending! We’re inviting Master Gardeners and instructors who have been part of the association since its beginning, and your response will help us estimate attendance and plan for enough space to accommodate everyone comfortably.
