Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Madison District Garden Clubs has arranged self guided tours of ten unique, and exciting gardens in Madison, Middleton, and Verona. These gardens are sure to attract garden enthusiasts at all levels.
Tour Chair Kathy DeMets feels this years garden selections are outstanding. One of the Middleton gardens offers a grandmother’s 100 year old peony, another garden in Madison has wonderful water features,Verona offers a garden with 22 separate beds where sculptures abound, and yet another in Verona surrounds a European country cottage with themed garden rooms.
Garden tour volunteers from district garden clubs and property owners will be at each stop to guide visitors through each incredible garden providing additional information on the plants and landscape.
This garden tour has been organized by the Madison District members of the Wisconsin Garden Club Federation. Proceeds from this tour are to fund scholarships for students in horticulture or other related fields.
The garden tour is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23. Tickets are $10 for both days, rain or shine.
Garden sites are listed on tour tickets and tickets can be purchased from two garden sites 501 Toepfer Ave in Madison and 161 Paoli St. in Verona on days of the tour. Advance tickets can be bought from garden club members.
