It's time to renew your membership for a really exciting year!

MAMGA is offering 12 fantastic programs for 2017. The Program Committee has been very busy lining up an array of educational and social programs we think you will find interesting and fun!

We lead off in January on Saturday the 14th, 10 a.m. at Paradigm Gardens, 4501 Helgesen Drive (off Hwy 51 between Buckeye and Pflaum Rds).  Andrew Berna, the manager of Paradigm will walk us through the newest hydroponics and lighting/seed starting equipment and answer any questions you may have about starting your garden in the early spring.

Our February program will take place at the UW Horticulture Building at 1575 Linden Dr. (Parking at Lot 40) on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m.  It will be a panel discussion by student landscape designers working at Allen Centennial Garden.  Ben Futa will be the host.

Our March program, of course, is the annual membership meeting at the Goodman Community Center on Saturday, March 18th at 10 a.m.  Our keynote speaker, who will also be speaking at Garden Expo, is Jerry Apps.  We will have a great silent auction, a catered lunch and a short business meeting.  It will be a great time to get together with members you haven't seen in a while, and we hope to have a good number of new MGV students in attendance as well.

In April we are once again sponsoring the Friends of Allen Centennial Garden's "Art of Gardening Symposium. It will be Saturday, April 1 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Uw Arboretum.  One of our members, who attended last year's symposium, told me this event was the best gardening program she had ever attended--and she has attended dozens.  It will feature four keynote speakers, leading garden designers from around the world.  MAMGA members will have an opportunity to sign up early.  It promises to be a sell-out again.

We have 8 other programs from April through November, including a trip (with lunch) to 4Elements herb farm in North Freedom.

Remember, you can always check the MAMGA calendar for our program schedule and details - just click the "EVENTS" link at the top of our site.

14 local gardening stores are also offering discounts for MAMGA members for 10% to 20% off at their stores in 2017.

We will be accepting renewals, of course, up to and including the membership meeting in March.  But we would really appreciate having your renewal well before that date so that we know with better certainty what our budget will be for 2017.

Renewing is much easier this year.  For the first time we are accepting credit card renewals. Just click the button below to renew by credit card, or to print off a renewal form and send it in with your check.

Thank you, and I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and the hope for a healthy and happy new year.
