July 7 Friday 9am to noon
Lussier Family Heritage Center - Signature project workday
Prairie Restoration, including transplanting perennials and watering newly planted trees.
From MAMGA President Ed Meachen:
"The next scheduled workdays are July 7 and July 21st. This MAMGA signature project seems to me like putting one of those 2000 piece puzzles together. You feel good every day about the progress you made, but you can’t see the picture yet, nor for a long time. Working on it together is a lot of fun and filled with surprises and tiny triumphs. But beware the wild parsnips! The juice of this invasive plant—and it is present in the Lussier field—is one of those plants that causes skin blisters. Wear long sleeves and long pants with boots when you come out to work. Bring gloves. See you on July 7th. Someone might bring treats!"
